About The New Website
Welcome to Lowcountry Area Health Education Center’s (AHEC) NEW Website!
For the last 8 months Lowcountry AHEC has been working with our IT Webmaster Consultant to create a new website that will be user friendly and up to date. The biggest changes and improvements are to the Continuing Education (CE) program. While we have had online registration for many years; we have added features to CE that include user accounts, electronic documents/handouts, evaluation, certificate, and transcripts. Some of the other improvements you will notice are: higher quality pictures, news on the home page, and a Health Careers Program (HCP) Calendar.
Please take some time to peruse the website and become familiar with it!
Continuing Education Users: You will have to create a username and password the next time you register to participate in a class. You will begin at the CE Calendar. CE Calendar is found under the Continuing Education tab at the top. Once you have chosen the class you wish to register for, click on it and you will see the details about the class. At this page you may also add the class date and time to your personal calendar if you wish as well as map the classroom location. Click Next to continue. Once you click on Next you will be taken to a Registration Page. The first time you register you will have to complete every field including creation of a username and password. Once you have created your username and password you will not have to complete these same fields again unless you have changes to your information. Once you have a username and password you will be able to log in to view your account. Log in links are available throughout the CE pages as well as at the bottom of the home page. Always use the CE Calendar page when registering for a class and log in only after you choose your class.
CE user accounts contain any classes that you have registered for, handout documents, any pending evaluations of classes you have taken, and completed class information including certificates and transcripts. You will need an evaluation key in order to complete the class evaluation. The evaluation key will be given out at the end of each class. Once you have the evaluation key you will log into your account and complete the evaluation (Must Be Completed Within 2 Weeks). Once you have completed the evaluation, the certificate is available to you. You may print your certificate or save on your computer.Please be sure to ALWAYS allow POP-UPS on your internet browser for our website!
